Please go to our Summer Camps page.Adult Aspire ClassThis class is PERFECT for people who have never climbed before (or need a refresher) and are looking for an in-depth introduction to the sport of rock climbing. Learn all the basics: knot tying, belay certification, beginner technique, route reading and much more from one of Boulders finest instructors. This class meets twice a week for 3 weeks usually from 6:30-8:30pm. The cost is $96/climber and includes a membership to the gym during the three weeks of the class as well as a month membership to the gym upon completion of the class! Rental equipment is also provided during the class. Space is limited, so call 608.244.8100 or stop by the gym to sign up. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot for this class. All participants in this class must be Belay Certified. This class meets twice a week for 3 weeks usually from 6:30-8:30pm. The cost is $108/climber and includes a membership to the gym during the three weeks of the class as well as a month membership to the gym upon completion of the class. Advanced Movement Class Advanced Movement Class Adult Experienced ClassLearn to lead-climb and lead-belay in a safe, controlled setting. Participants will learn: -Sport climbing skills and techniques All participants in this class must be efficient top-rope climbers (5.9 and up). This class meets twice a week for 3 weeks usually from 6:30pm-8:30pm. The cost is $120/climber and includes a membership to the gym during the three weeks of the class as well as a month membership to the gym upon completion of the class. Adult Experienced Class On Belay ClassLet our knowledgeable instructors teach you how to belay! This class starts off with a brief introduction to our gym, the routes, ratings, and bouldering cave. We then jump into tying the figure eight knot. Don't worry there are many different ways to tie it and we'll find the easiest method for you to remember. Next, we'll show you different belay devices and how they function. We teach with an ATC (air traffic controller) and we'll start off using a very controlled method. Once you are comfortable with that it's on to the real thing. At the end of the class you will be able to pass a belay test, however, to be sure you retain the information we ask that you wait a day before you take your test. Minimum Two climbers - $45/per. By appt. Up RopeLearn how to lead climb. This class is structured for those who have mastered belaying on our free standing ropes. Students must be comfortable climbing and falling. This is a very serious step in the climbing progression. We will learn how to clip quickdraws, how to avoid and why we don't want to backclip, what a z-clip is, and safety skills for lead climbing and belaying. By the end of the class most students can pass a lead test and feel comfortable and safe leading in the gym. This class varies in length but can usually be accomplished in two to three hours. Minimum two climbers - $65/per. By Appointment. RappelHow to get down? This is one of the most important and dangerous skills you will learn in climbing. You will learn proper rappel techniques and methods to back yourself up so you can reach the ground safely. This class is also perfect for the aspiring adventure racer where knowing rope skills is key to a good finish. We can also teach you how to acend a rope by request.
