Intro to Self-Rescue (ground)

Interested in taking your climbing outdoors? Prepare for an upcoming climbing trip by taking this four-hour, indoor class on single-pitch self-rescue. This is Part 3 of our Outdoor Skills series and covers foundational skills useful to anyone considering climbing outside. Rentals included.

Intro to Self-Rescue is one 4-hour session held at our Eastside location.

Prerequisites:

  • Lead belay certified

Equipment needed:

  • Harness

  • Belay device & locking carabiner (GriGri preferred)

  • Optional: 120 cm (48”) sewn sling/runner, 2–4 spare carabiners, personal tether, prusik or hitch cord
